Tags: * reviewer performance: rate, track, act upon
"It would be useful if the usefulness/quality of the reviews submitted were provided as feedback to
the reviewers. Either the authors could rate their reviewers, or the (S)ACs could do this. Currently,
it is only communicated if someone was really outstanding and selected as a distinguished reviewer,
but it would probably help if more nuanced information was also provided to the reviewers (e.g. the
average usefulness of your review(s) for the current batch was above x percentage of the reviewers).
Hopefully, reviewers consistently receiving low scores would try to improve the quality of their reviews
in the future, while reviewers whose score is constantly low, could be marked as 'unreliable' reviewers,
which information could be taken into account by (S)ACs upon recommending acceptance/rejection of papers.
