Tags: * against 8 week cycle * improve communication with reviewers * against ARR mentoring
"- timeline: I think that an 8 week cycle will take away one of the main advantages of ARR. I believe
that still many reviewers will submit their reviews last-minute. What could improve this: have better
notifications and emails released to the reviewers. As a reviewers, the emails received from OpenReview
sometimes don't match the timeline and sometimes are sent out too late (I have received warning that
the deadline is coming up without ever receiving an invitation to review a given paper...). Fixing this
could already improve review submission without extending the timeline. - mentoring: In my opinion,
mentoring should happen at the research group level. Senior researchers are responsible to teach their
junior researchers independent of the publication venue."
